Edgbaston Hockey Club

You are all more than welcome to come and join the Edgbaston Kestrels we provide a safe and fun environment where young players from the age of 4 to 16 (School year reception and up!) can learn and enjoy hockey.

All our sessions are open to beginners, so no matter the age you are more than welcome to begin your hockey adventure!

All that is required is the enthusiasm to want to get active and find out about hockey. Anyone can come along and join in a few taster sessions before deciding whether hockey and Edgbaston Kestrels is right for them and we can often provide hockey sticks for trial sessions.

Don’t forget your shin pads and mouth guard, you will NOT BE ALLOWED to train or play without them.

Our sessions are all mixed, and the location is King Edwards High School for Girls, Park Vale Drive (off Bristol Road) and structured as:

• U8s - Year 3 and below (9.30-10.30),
• U10s - Year 4&5 - (9.30-10.45),
• U12s - Year 6&7 - (10.30-12:15),
• Badgers - Year 8 & above - (11.30-13.00).  

Timings for 2024/25:

• 1st term: 8th September through to 15th December (two weekend break over half term)
• 2nd term: 12th January through to 6th April (two weekend break over half term)

Subscriptions are a one off payment of £70 (under 8s) and £90 (under 10s, 12s, badgers) all via the Pitchero App which you can register for belwo with the Join button and donwlaod the app itslef from your App store.
