We have a number of roles available looking towards the 2024/25 season.

Player Recruitment Lead
Attracting new players into all parts of our club is really important to continue to build on our successes in the 2023-24 season and to grow. This exciting role will be leading on a project over the summer, and potentially longer term, to define where we want to add players to our club, how we reach potential new joiners effectively, and how we bring them in - working closely with club captains, the youth section, and more.
Please contact Elliot Trussell, Chairperson, to express interest or for more info.

Men's 2nd and 3rd Team Captains
For the 2023-24 season, we trialled a "1-3s Management Team" approach with coaches leading on selection, implementing consistent play style and designing training sessions to address match scenarios. For 2024-25, we are looking to maintain selection being managed by this coaching team, but reinstating the Captain role more formally to focus on developing team cohesion, improved player communication, and on-pitch leadership.
Please contact Phil Pagani to put yourself forward or nominate someone.

Ladies 5th Team Captain
For the 2024-25 season, we will be reinstating our ladies 5th team to further strengthen our wonderful ladies section. Having already secured a coach we are looking for a captain to support on selection, on pitch management and bring enthusiasm.
Please contact Helen Bermingham, Ladies's Club Captain to put yourself forward or nominate someone.

Kestrels Wednesday Night Coach
The development of juniors players into senior players is a key part of the club and individual player’s development. We are looking for a coach to run our Wednesday night Kestrels session (6pm-7pm at EHS), the session is working with our juniors taking their first steps towards senior hockey within our successful badgers teams.
Please contact Tom Drewett, Youth Section Lead, to express interest or for more info.

Social Reps
We are looking for Social Reps from the Men's and Women's sides of the club to work together next season on planning and delivering a range of different types of social events through the year. Aiming for the right mix of nights out, family-friendly events, full-club and team or group specific, these volunteers will be supported by club captains and captains to understand member preferences and to promote the events.
Please contact Helen Bermingham, Ladies Club Captain, or Phil Pagani, Men's Club Captain to express interest or for more info.

DBS Coordinator
This role ensures all our coaches and club representatives working regularly with young players hold valid DBS certificates, and initiates the process via England Hockey's portal for those requiring new certificates. This role requires only a small time contribution, typically at the end of summer / start of the season.
Please contact Elliot Trussell, Chairperson, to volunteer to help or for more info.

Video Equipment Coordinator
In 2023-24 we invested in a VEO camera and filmed many of our home games. We are looking for a volunteer for next season to coordinate how this gets used to benefit as many of our squads as possible. This volunteer will ensure it is set up on time for the first home games requiring filming, that people in those squads or coaching teams understand how to start and stop recording, and that the camera is turned off and collected at the end of the day. This person doesn’t necessarily need to be able to store and transport the camera themselves, but will need to work with people across a wide range of our squads. The scope of this role could also grow to include supporting recording sharing, analysis and discussion and more if interested.
Please contact Dave Straw, Men's Section Coach, to volunteer to help or for more info.
